Shock to consumers on the first day of the month, Increase in the price of gas cylinders
The retail cost of 12kg Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) has been expanded by Tk 102 to Tk 993 for August, 2021. Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has re-fixed the cost of LPG at retailer level on Thursday.
"The recently fixed cost of LPG will be viable from August 1, 2021 and all authorized LPG showcasing organizations will carry out the value," Chairman of BERC Md Abdul Jalil said this at a press preparation on virtual stage.
As per the BERC subtleties, the cost of LPG $620 per ton was fixed for July 2021 by Saudi Contract Price (Saudi CP) according to Propane and Butane proportion 35:65.
Notwithstanding, the cost of LPG utilized in vehicles has been fixed at Tk 48.71 per liter. Prior, it was TK 44 for every liter.
On April 12, the BERC set the cost of LPG without precedent for the country. It was concluded that LPG costs will be overhauled each month changing the costs of propane and butane of Saudi Aramco.
