Recovery of 27 stolen android mobile phones amounting Rs - 4,25,218/- in Sahibganj

Sahibganj News : Recovery of 27 stolen android mobile phones amounting Rs- 4,25,218/-  with arrest of one person at Kalyanchak Railway station under RPF/POST/Sahibganj.

01) Source Information:- On 22.09.2021 at about 11:35 hrs, one reliable source information was received by Sri Narindar Singh, Inspector/RPF/Passenger Security/Malda now at Sahibganj regarding illegal carrying/transportation of stolen mobile phones by train No. 05412 Sahibganj- Barharwa Special PGR.

02) Formation of Team:- Immediately a team comprising of officers and staff of RPF/POST/Sahibganj to work out the information.

03) Raid cum-search:- During such raid two persons were detained with  two bags containing mobile phones  in coach No. ER 98617 of train no. 05412 Sahibganj - Barharwa passenger.

04) Name and address of accused:- On being asked they disclosed their identity as (i) Suraj Kumar Das (M- 21 Years)  S/o Abhay Das R/o- Karanpura, PS- Taljhari, Dist-Sahibganj, Jharkhand  and (ii) Mani Kant Prasad Das (M-22 Years) S/o Sharwan Prasad Das,Vill+ PO- Karanpura, PS- Taljhari, Dist-Shaibganj, Jharkhand.

05) Detection:- On check  found 13 numbers old & used android mobile phones from their possession of (i) Suraj Kumar Das and 12 numbers of old & used android mobile phones which were found from  the possession of accused of serial No. (ii) Mani Kant Prasad Das.

06) Recovery and seizure: On being further asked they failed to produce any authority or document in support of the mobile phones found from their possession. Hence

all 25 stolen mobile phones of different companies were seized at Kalyanchack Railway station near foot over bridge under proper seizure list .

07) Arrest persons:- Illegal stolen android mobile phones were found from the possession of both the persons which is a cognizable offence. Hence both persons were arrested under section 12 (ii) of RPF act 1957 duly informing them ground of their arrest and brought at RPF/Post/Sahibganj for further legal action. 

08) Interrogation and Disposal of seized property:- During interrogation both confessed that all android phones have been stolen from different places. They had bought the mobiles from different thieves and sold them to different persons.

They also confessed that they did not remember from whom & from where they had bought all these android mobiles. On 22.09.2021 they were going to Kaliachack for selling the stolen android mobile phones, but they were apprehended*

9.Disposal All the materials with accused handed over to GRP/SBG for further legal action.
